There were no logistical nightmares, no "dread-inducing" Secret Santa's, and absolutely no corporate credit cards were harmed in the making of this evening. Just Heather and me in a cozy local pub.
The Agenda of Champions
Without a formal 45-minute keynote on "synergy" to sit through, we had to entertain ourselves. Things got wild. And by "wild," I mean we ordered a second bowl of chips and pivoted into some high-stakes festive strategy.
Between sips, we finalised our official hit-list of clubs for the 26/27 pilot season. We mapped out a football takeover starting with the WSL and WSL2.. which, after a second drink, expanded to the continent... and after a few more, leaped across the pond to the USA.
Look out Washington, Barcelona, Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City—two women in a York pub have officially put you on the map.
The Ultimate Perk
The best part of a two-person Christmas do? No Saturday morning "what did I say to the boss?" dread—chiefly because we are the bosses. We woke up fresh, victorious, and ready to go.
