The Warm Up: The Great Business Card Showdown: From Tesco to Tibet

At Football TravelHER, our mission has always been pretty straightforward: a deep-rooted love for travel and an unwavering passion for the growth of the women’s football ecosystem. We scope out the logistics, test the rail routes, and brave the stadiums so your future away days are seamless.

But behind the scenes, away from the spreadsheets and website finalisation, there is a fierce, unspoken (okay, loudly spoken) civil war raging between your co-directors, Corinne and Heather.

It all started with a simple, ongoing bet: Who can get the Football TravelHER business QR code card to the most extreme, unexpected corner of the globe?

The Humble Beginnings: Tesco, York 🛒

Like all legendary rivalries, this one started small. Heather kicked things off by proudly flashing the QR code next to a meal deal in Tesco, York. A solid, local foundation. Practical? Yes. Iconic? Debatable.

From there, the back-and-forth began. A cheeky card placement here, a stadium photo there. We were trading blows across cities and coastlines, keeping it relatively grounded.

And then, Corinne decided to completely destroy the curve.

Current Standings (As of June 2026): 1-0 to the Mountains

We’ve always said we want Football TravelHER to reach new heights, but Corinne took that literally.

She recently touched down at Everest Base Camp on the Tibet side, standing at a casual 5,200 meters above sea level. Wrapped in six layers of clothing, facing down freezing alpine winds, she held up the QR code.

Unless there’s a new stadium opening on the Moon, or Heather manages to sneak a card into Michelle Kang’s handbag on our next LCL scouting trip, Corinne might have just clinched the title for the foreseeable future. We’re still waiting to see if any crazy high-altitude mountaineers—or tech-savvy Yaks wandering the Tibetan plateaus—actually scan the code and get in touch.

If you're wondering whether we actually have the travel chops to back up this madness, the answer is a resounding yes. Between the two of us, we have officially completed all 7 continents.

The "TravelHER" part of our name is the real deal. We have navigated everything from the freezing, pristine landscapes of Antarctica to the intense, baking heat of the Middle East, all the way to the highest mountain ranges in the world. Testing global logistics and surviving extreme environments is just what we do—which makes figuring out the best train route to an away match feel like a breeze.
