They say most great ideas are born in a pub, but ours was born from a decade of sideline dreaming and a slightly desperate late-summer ChatGPT search.

For years, Heather and I have teased each other about how we’d finally break into the women’s football industry. We knew we belonged there; we just didn’t know in what capacity. So, at the end of Summer '25, Heather did what any rational person does when facing a career crossroads: she asked AI to fix our lives.

We started by looking at the obvious routes. The Plan A? Secure a spot in the Lionesses squad for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil. It sounded perfect until we factored in our 80-year-old knees and a complete lack of professional-grade ball skills. Straight scratch off.

Plan B: Coaching? Also a no. We’re great at shouting from the stands, but translating that into tactical genius? Unlikely.

Plan C: Journalism? A hard no from us. Neither of us is exactly "camera-ready" for a 6:00 AM pitch-side report, and as for our writing skills... well, just look at the state of this blog!

Plan D: Own or invest in a club? We loved this one. There was just one major flaw. We don't have several hundred million pounds/dollars in the bank.

Starting to run out of options and feeling the dream slip away, there it was: WOMEN’S FOOTBALL TRAVEL EXPERIENCES. We stared at the screen. Surely, with the insane growth of the game since 2022, someone had already done this? We searched, we scrolled, and we dug deep—but remarkably, the "world's first" title was still sitting there, waiting to be claimed.

It was like a lightbulb moment in a dark stadium. Between us, we’ve followed the game across the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, and Australia. Personally, I’ve completed all seven continents (including Everest Base Camp!), so I’ll take any excuse to pack a bag and travel!

This was the one. This was where we could use our experiences and skillsets to build something that the women's football industry is currently missing.

This is EXCITING! But do we do it??? Will it work??? Are we mad???
